Overview
While most Concept2 Erg components are covered under the standard two-year warranty, there are several exclusions that are not eligible for warranty replacement. This article outlines the exceptions by product to help determine when replacement parts should be purchased by the customer.
General Coverage
For the first two years from the original date of purchase, Concept2 will repair or replace, at its discretion, any covered part that fails for any reason, including normal wear. The warranty is transferable to subsequent owners for the remainder of the warranty period.
Warranty Exclusions by Product
SkiErg
The following items are not covered under the two-year warranty:
- PM monitor batteries
- Handle cords
- Damage to the machine's finish
- Damage resulting from neglect or abuse
- Shipping charges and, where applicable, customs clearance fees
- Labor associated with installing warranty replacement parts
BikeErg
The following items are not covered under the two-year warranty:
- PM monitor batteries
- Damage caused by using third-party parts or accessories
- Damage to the machine's finish
- Damage resulting from neglect, abuse, or failure to follow the recommended maintenance requirements
- Shipping charges and, where applicable, customs clearance fees
- Labor associated with installing warranty replacement parts
RowErg
The following items are not covered under the two-year warranty:
- PM monitor batteries
- Damage to the machine's finish
- Damage resulting from neglect, abuse, or failure to follow the recommended maintenance requirements
- Shipping charges and, where applicable, customs clearance fees
- Labor associated with installing warranty replacement parts
Customer Resolution
If a customer's issue falls under one of the warranty exclusions listed above, the claim is not eligible for warranty coverage.
In these situations:
- The customer is responsible for purchasing the required replacement part(s).
- Shipping charges are the customer's responsibility unless otherwise authorized.
- Labor for installation is not reimbursed under the warranty.
