To paint your oar blade, please follow the instructions below for your specific type of blade:

Painting Carbon Fiber Blades:
- Use gray spray primer as a guide coat.
- Sand with 220 grit paper.
- Clean with rubbing alcohol.
- Apply primer and paint as per manufacturer’s instructions.

Painting Factory-Finished Custom Colored Blades:
- Sand with 220 grit sandpaper.
- Clean with alcohol or automotive paint degreaser.
- Test paint on a small portion before painting the entire blade.

Painting Blades Manufactured in 2006 and Earlier:
- Sand lightly with 220 grit sandpaper.
- Clean with alcohol.
- Test paint on a small surface before painting the entire blade.

Paint Recommendations for Carbon Fiber Blades:
- Polyurethane–Single Part: User-friendly, highly durable.
- Acrylic Enamel–Single Part: User-friendly, low durability.
- Epoxy–Two-Part: Highly durable, least user-friendly.

Vinyl Recommendations for Carbon Fiber Blades:
- Use 3M™ Wrap Film Series 1080 or Avery® WS900 Supreme Wrapping Vinyl Film.
- Use 3M™ Wrap Film Series 1080 or Avery® WS900 Supreme Wrapping Vinyl Film.

Painting the Bantam Blade:
- Use paint formulated for polypropylene (PP or TPO).
- Recommended brands: SEM®, Dupli-color®, Urethane Supply Company®.
